Day 1

DEPART FOR MILAN, ITALY

Enjoy a private car ride to the airport. Guests departing from the Toronto airport are assisted with their check-in. Meet your Journey Manager and fellow travellers and board your flight to Milan, Italy.

Day 2

LAKE GARDA

Our Italian culinary exploration begins as we make our way from the airport to the steepflanked shoreline of Lake Garda, in the Italian Alps. We stop in Franciacorta where we enjoy a delicious lunch and wine tasting. The afternoon is yours to rest or begin your exploration. Enjoy dinner in the comfort of our hotel. (L,D)

Day 3

LAKE GARDA & ISOLA DEL GARDA

After a hearty breakfast, we head for the shores of the lake where we embark on a boat tour of the Isola del Garda, a beautiful garden island in the middle of the lake. The visit includes a guided tour of the private villa and its sumptuous gardens, followed by an aperitif. After a leisurely lunch, enjoy free time on the lake. We take some time to relax before our dinner in a local restaurant. (B,L,D)

Day 4

SIRMIONE & GROTTOES OF CATULLUS

We spend the morning in the fascinating Grottoes of Catullus in the Sirmione peninsula, where the remains of a massive Roman mansion are located. The beautiful waters and surrounding olive groves make this place truly exceptional. After lunch in Sirmione village, we embark on a 30-minute boat tour around the peninsula. Take some time to relax back at the hotel before heading to dinner in a local restaurant. (B,L,D)

VERONA & VENICE

In the morning, we set off on a walking tour of beautiful and romantic Verona that includes a visit to Juliet’s iconic balcony. Following lunch in the city centre, we transfer to Venice to board Le Lyrial, your home for the next seven days. All meals will be served on board unless otherwise indicated. (B,L,D)

Day 6

KORČULA, CROATIA

Korčula is a beautifully preserved town that is best explored on foot. Discover St Mark’s Cathedral, its main attraction. After a city tour, we enjoy wine-tasting at the Toreta winery to savour some of the local vintages such as Posip, Grk and Rukatac. Enjoy free time to browse the shops or meander the winding streets inside the city walls. In the evening, we enjoy the Captain’s welcome reception and dinner. (B,L,D))

Day 7

ŠIBENIK, TROGIR & SPLIT

In the morning, we explore Šibenik, a picturesque town sheltered in a deep blue bay surrounded by rocky hills. We continue to the island-village of Trogir where we visit St Lawrence Cathedral, a 13th century Roman-Gothic gem. We have lunch in Split, where we explore the Old Town and the Diocletian Palace. The end of the day includes free time for you to wander at your own pace. (B,L,D)

Day 8

DUBROVNIK & CAVTAT

After we arrive into Dubrovnik port, a pleasant drive along the coastline leads us to Cavtat, where we enjoy a walking tour and leisurely lunch in this quaint Adriatic town. Our coach then drops us off at the top of Srđ Hill, and we embark on a slow cable car ride for an unmatched aerial view of Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of the Adriatic”. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the walled town has always played a pivotal role in maritime trade and has a beauty that is the envy of all coastal towns. As we stroll through the main boulevard of Stradun, we enjoy a tour of the Franciscan Monastery, and visit the Rector’s Palace and Sponza Palace. The walls of the old town and the bustle of its wide polished boulevards provide the perfect backdrop for our afternoon and evening at leisure. (B,L,D)

Day 9

KOTOR & BUDVA, MONTENEGRO

We take in the rugged natural beauty of the Montenegrin countryside as we ascend the serpentine roads of Lovcen Hills. A beautiful view of Kotor Bay opens up en route to the city of Cetinje, the former capital where we visit the National Museum. After a light refreshment in Cetinje, we continue onto the sunny Budva Riviera to take stunning photos of the distant island of Sveti Stefan. The morning ends with a visit of Budva, one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast! After lunch, explore this picturesque town at our leisure. Returning to the ship’s port of call, Kotor, we finish the day with a visit to the local Maritime Museum. (B,L,D)

Day 10

HVAR, CROATIA

Today, we stop in the town of Hvar, best known as a summer resort. We head to Stari Grad (literally "Old City" in Croatian), which is officially the oldest village in Croatia. Our tour ends in the nearby hills with a visit to a lavender workshop in Velo Grablje. (B,L,D)

Day 11

PULA & ROVINJ

As the ship heads back north to Venice, it makes a final stop in Pula, the main city on the Istrian Peninsula. We take a walking tour through sights that are heavily marked by the Roman Empire, most spectacularly the amphitheatre. We enjoy lunch in the town, accompanied by a wine and olive oil tasting. Then, we continue our exploration in Rovinj, where we enjoy a walking tour and some free time. For our last night on board, join us for a farewell reception. A magnificent end to a splendid journey of one of the world’s most distinctive coasts. (B,L,D)

Day 12

VENICE, MURANO & BURANO

Arriving in Venice early in the morning, we still have a full day of activities ahead of us. We begin our tour of Murano and its famed glass-blowing factory. The tour crosses the water to Burano, a colourful and vibrant village with its own Venetian flair and canals, where we enjoy lunch. We return to Venice to check into our hotel and relax until dinnertime. (B,L,D)

VENICE

Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace in the iconic, romantic and beautiful city of Venice. Enjoy lunch at your leisure and let our Journey Manager share some great spots for you to choose from. Enjoy a farewell dinner in a local restaurant. (B,D)

HOME

Enjoy a leisurely morning before we bid “addio” to our new friends and make our way to the airport for our flight home. Enjoy our private car to your home. (B)

Kotor

A fortified town on Montenegro’s Adriatic Coast, in a bay near the limestone cliffs of Mount Lovćen, Kotor is one of the prettiest, unspoiled towns you will ever see. Naturally preserved by its isolation, this medieval old town is characterized by winding streets, quaint squares, and Romanesque churches. It sits in the stunning rock-walled chasm splitting the coastal mountains of Montenegro, along the longest arm of the sea in southern Europe.
