Journey Highlights

Aboard the MS Midnatsol (2020)

The name Midnatsol (Midnight Sun) is something to live up to, and this ship, dedicated to the Arctic summer, does just that. The vessel has a strong environmental profile and modern design, with Norwegian materials used extensively throughout its interiors and bright, colourful décor inspired by Norway's sunny warm days of summer. One of the key features on MS Midnatsol is the large, two-storey Panorama Lounge overlooking the bow, with wall-to-wall windows that bathe the room in natural light and provide extraordinary views. Interesting lectures, presentations and activities make this voyage an exciting and educational journey.

“Over the Roof of Norway"

“Over the Roof of Norway” is a railroad adventure across the longest high-mountain stretch of railway in Europe. Recognized as one of the top twenty railway experiences in the world, your rail voyage to Bergen will take you past mountains covered with snow, green fields clinging to steep hillsides, and rivers tumbling joyfully over rocky basins. This one-of-a-kind rail journey is the best way to view the many stunning vistas and panoramic views Norway has to offer.

Lofoten Islands

The Lofoten Islands are a feast for the senses. Long heralded as the most beautiful part of Norway, they are sure to evoke a rush of emotion as you gaze at the endless mountains, colourful green valleys, bright houses, and tranquil rippling waters. Enjoy a concert in an old Herring Oil tank at the Neptun Herring Oil Factory in Melbu. Pass through the stunning wall of mountains that is Lofoten. Finish your visit with a memorable trip to the Lofoten Aquarium, which celebrates the many marine animals of the waters around Lofoten.

The "Atlantic Road"

From above, the “Atlantic Road” might look like a long ribbon, draped across the rocks and islets that connect Norway’s mainland to the island of Averøy. Drive along this stunning feat of engineering that has been called one of the most scenic drives in the world for a truly unforgettable experience. Prepare for magnificent views unlike any you’ve ever seen as you drive down the gently winding road and across bridges jutting out over the sea.

North Cape & the Sami People

On the north coast of the island of Magerøya, North Cape features a stunning plateau that suddenly drops to the sea down a 307-meter cliff. Whether you’re watching the afternoon sun reflect off the ocean or the vibrant colours of a sunset, the view from this lookout is nothing short of incredible. You’ll also have time to explore the North Cape Pavilion and view the 125° panorama film showing North Cape through the four seasons. Then, learn about the Sami people, the indigenous people who have thrived in the Finnmark region for thousands of years.

MS Kong Harald (2021)

MS Kong Harald was refurbished in 2016 and now features a modern, Arctic-inspired interior. Onboard are three different restaurants, the Multe bakery and ice cream bar, a sauna and a fitness room. Out on deck you can enjoy the view from one of the two hot tubs. Fancy a drink? Visit the comfortable bar at the front of the ship. The vessel also has a large compass area with reception, the Expedition Team, a tour guide, conference room and shop. The MS Kong Harald has its own onboard Expedition Team and serves as a university at sea. Interesting lectures, presentations and activities inside the ship as well as out on the sun deck make this an exciting and educational journey.
