Practically unchanged since the twelfth century, Regensburg is truly unique in all Bavaria. The narrow streets we walk are the very same that housed medieval German traders who once controlled the Oriental trade routes. Meanwhile, Regensburg Cathedral remains the focal point of the city, a sterling exemplar of Gothic architecture in southern Germany. (B,L,D)
