Journey Highlights

Zermatt and the Matterhorn

Nestled under the watchful eye of the majestic Matterhorn, Zermatt is truly unique. This car-free city is a popular destination for those looking to slow down and savour the tranquility of mountain life. Frequently visited by those who enjoy winter sports, this quaint village also offers adorable shops and cafes to explore as you look out at the surrounding fields, peaks, and valleys. If you crave a broader view of the nearby Matterhorn, drive 1,500 meters up the Gornergrat ridge for a breathtaking view of more than twenty 4,000-meter peaks, including the Matterhorn and the Weisshorn.

With its pristine setting along the shores of Lake Lucerne in central Switzerland, the city of Lucerne is surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenes. Saunter down Kapellbrücke, one of the most famous bridges in the world and the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe. Diagonally spanning the Reuss river, it houses a number of interior paintings dating back to the 17th century. The lake itself is another main attraction of Lucerne, and the locals say that if you have not cruised on Lake Lucerne, you have not lived. As such, a scenic cruise on this gorgeous lake is a must!

Lake Como

Few places are as romantic as Lake Como in Italy. Also known as Comersee, the lake is not only a spectacular area of natural beauty but is also rich in history, having been appreciated for its loveliness since Roman times. Your cruise on the lake will show you the most splendid villas, such as Villa Carlotta and perhaps that of Mr. Clooney. Then, stop at Bellagio for lunch on an intimate terrace. Whether on the shores of this lake or the water itself, the unique beauty that has enchanted generations is sure to capture your heart.

Swiss Glacier Express

The Swiss Glacier Express connects the mountain resorts of St. Moritz and Zermatt, with countless peaks and villages to stop at and admire along the way. There is no better way to experience the glory of the Alps than by the Swiss Glacier Express, rumbling along the tracks over majestic mountain ridges and valleys dotted with quaint Swiss houses. The scenery you’ll pass seems to have sprung right out of a fairy tale, leaving you enchanted with the incomparable Alps and the welcoming people who live within them.
